Wellbeing & Engagement

Welcome Georgia

My name is Georgia Akiki. I am the new Pastoral Care Worker at Lockleys North Primary School.

I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Counselling and Interpersonal Skills) and have always had a passion for working with young people.

My experience has seen me support the wellbeing needs of students at a specialist senior college in Adelaide and at my local youth group.  In my spare time I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants and volunteering at my local church. My role at Lockleys North Primary School will be to support the wellbeing of all

students and to build positive relationships and social skills. I will also be working closely with leadership and wellbeing staff to provide practical support to students and families.

I will be at the school 1 day per week  (Tuesdays) 8.30am-4pm.

I am looking forward to getting to know all the students, families and staff and joining the Lockleys North Primary School Community as the Pastoral Care Worker.

Wellbeing News

This week our application process for Student Ambassadors has commenced. Students in years 3-6 will have the opportunity to submit an application to be nominated as School Ambassadors/Leaders.

The application asks students to think about:

  • How they demonstrate our school values?
  • What leadership qualities do they have that will support them in the role?
  • What change they would like to bring to our school community?

I look forward to reading all of the applications in week 7!

Applications are due by Wednesday Week 7, 3pm.
