Marni Naa Pudni

The past few weeks LNPS has been able to steer clear of the impact of COVID, however this week we have seen an increase in classroom contacts. This has had an impact on class numbers, students and teachers. We continue to be flexible and provide a consistent and quality learning program for all students.

We ask that if your child is slightly unwell to please keep them home and undertake a COVID test. The purpose of testing is to identify any further cases and ensure that all cases are isolating to assist in preventing transmission.

The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff are paramount. As such, we will continue to work closely with SA Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is closely followed. While we recognise this can be disruptive and inconvenient for many families it is important that we follow SA Health advice and take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of further transmission within our community.

On a more positive note we have started our Goal Setting and Learning Conferences this week.

This is a vital high impact strategy that enables students to have clarity regarding their next steps, which supports learning to be both accelerated and intensified.

It is also an opportunity to meet teachers as this has been challenging due to COVID restrictions. If you have not booked a conference yet, it is not too late. Please contact your classroom teacher to make a time. Finally, if you need to make any changes to your conference time please contact your child's teacher directly.

Nude Food at LNPS

Over the past 3 weeks we have had a major focus on litter in the yard as it had reached an unacceptable level. This has included the introduction of Yard Clean Up time at the end of lunch on Wednesday and Friday, due to the large amount of litter in the yard.

It is important to keep our wonderful school environment clean and one way we can do this is by reducing the amount of packaging we use. This in-turn reduces litter in the yard and waste in our bins.

To help us take the next step in reducing our waste footprint,  we kindly request that families have a large focus on Nude Food. Nude Food is when recess and lunch is put into labelled reusable containers.

We ask that families have a focus on reducing our waste footprint by using a reusable container, as much as possible.

We appreciate everyone's support with this approach, so we can reduce our waste footprint.

Drop Off and Pick Up

We have received a number of complaints from community members regarding unsafe driving at our drop off and pick up points.

We ask that all parents/caregivers that  drop off and pick up take extreme care as we don't want any accidents to occur.
