 New Resources at the Carnegie Toy Library

GEKA recognise the support and partnership we have with the Carnegie Toy Library and than the team for their support of our families.  Last year, they provided 15 silver memberships, so our families could have additional resources at home, during lockdowns.  This made a significant impact to these that needed it the most.  

The Carnegie Toy Library has recently added to their collection of wonderful resources to support children's learning at home.  The Carnegie Toy Library now offers families access to a new category of toy, Story Sacks.  

"A Story Sack is a large bag containing a children’s picture book and supporting materials, such as toys, games or puzzles which link to the story. The idea behind a story sack is to help bring the story to life for you and your child."

Families can also access a range of new imaginative play resources thanks to the 2021 Glen Eira Council Community Grants Program. The team at the Carnegie Toy Library have carefully selected the new resources, ensuring they are sustainable items made from recycled materials or made from materials which can be recycled in the future.
