Ms Stocks’ Year 10 Science students were involved in the Meet a Scientist webinar presented by the Royal Women’s Hospital as part of International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Students heard from four of the hospitals scientists as they shared their career journeys.

Scientists from the Royal Women’s Hospital inspired us and helped make a positive impact on our upcoming career pathways. The presenters explained their different science career pathways which included a laboratory scientist, reproductive medicine research fellow, high risk obstetrician and clinical scientist and a neonatologist researcher. It was fascinating to listen and watch the presentations which included their high school experiences during year 11 and 12. They also shared their university studies, jobs and life experiences that led them to their current science careers. It was a very inspiring and engaging webinar.
