Trans Day of Visibility

Supporting and celebrating transgender and non-binary people

Thursday March 31st is this year’s International Transgender Day of Visibility. This annual day is dedicated to celebrating Transgender people, and raising awareness of discrimination faced by Transgender people worldwide. It is also a celebration of the contributions Transgender people make to society.

Supporting and celebrating Transgender and Non-Binary people starts with very simple actions such as calling someone by their chosen name and pronouns. If you’re not sure what pronouns or name someone identifies with, asking in a kind and respectful way is your best move!

Whether you personally know someone who identifies as a member of the TGDNB (Trans, Gender Diverse, Non-Binary) Community or not, this is an excellent day to inform yourself on how to be inclusive and supportive of people who do.
