Book Week Parade

It was the book parade for all the grades prep to 6 on September the 3rd. All of the prep classes attended in the gym.

The prep teachers all dressed up as princesses. The students enjoyed parading around in their costumes and high-fiveing the older students. Many parents attended to the delight of their children.

It was a great day!

Geography Walk

On Friday September 13 1B, 1E and 1F trekked to Lake Caroline!

On Tuesday September 17 1A, 1C and 1D walked up to Lake Caroline and were fortunate to experience beautiful sunshine and lovely weather.  It was a long journey, there and back again, but the Year 1’s had a wonderful time exploring different places in the community. As we walked, we looked for places that are natural, constructed and managed. We had a delicious lunch by the Lake too! Thank you to all of the adults who made it possible!

Below is what some of the students had to say:

“I really liked sitting with my friends and eating lunch by the Lake!” Peyton 1B

“We looked at different places around Caroline Springs! Like CS Square, the bridge, the lake, the creek and different houses” Nicholas 1B

“I loved the walk and wasn’t even tired. I am very strong.” Steven 1A

“Lake Caroline is a constructed place because it has been built.” Isabella 1A

Year 2 News

On Friday the 13th the year two’s visited the Melbourne Museum to further explore their Play Based Learning topic of “The World Around Us’.

The students had the opportunity to explore various exhibits including the Dynamic Earth Exhibition, Daily Life of the First Peoples and the 600 Million Years Exhibit.

During the term the students have been learning about different countries that surround Australia, cultures and even different cuisines.

We have also been learning about what makes other countries different to Australia and how some countries still have active volcanoes.

The students loved the Dynamic Earth Exhibit because they were able to see how a volcano erupts and they got to see it in 3D!
