A Midsummer Night's Dream

Students from Grade 5 to Year 10 have had an absolute blast performing William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dreamfor students, friends, and family. The amazing work the students have put into the show has resulted in some rave reviews from our audiences.

On the eve of the wedding of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, and Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, four lovers find themselves in an unexpected, spellbinding conundrum in the woods surrounding the city. Magical mishaps and quirky characters greet them in fairyland where Oberon and Titania, King and Queen of the fairies, are in the midst of a quarrel that will lead to

romantic upheaval.

Meanwhile, unsuspecting Athenian workers are rehearsing a play to perform at the Duke's wedding...

What mysteries will they encounter on a midsummer's night?

English Language Centre News

The English Language Centre welcomed 5 new students in Term 4, 2022. They are Ella Liu, Anton Liu and Yuhan Zhang from China, and Vania Sarmast and Taha Rasaeimoghaddam from Iran! We are loving our multicultural group and have been doing a number of learning activities that reflect the diversity of our students.

In addition, the English Language Centre students participate in local excursions and/or school incursions weekly to support the main themes that are introduced and explored in the course. This term, we had a welcome picnic at the Royal Botanic Gardens, visited the Shrine of Remembrance, went on a walking trail around Melbourne CBD to participate in Melbourne Fashion Week's activities, spent a day at the Collingwood Children's Farm and also bounced our way to the long weekend at Bounce, Glen Iris.

The new students have settled in beautifully and it has been incredible to see the growth in confidence and connections among the students.
