Welcome back to the final term of the year! We have had a great start back and are looking forward to sharing lots of fun experiences and moments as the term continues. 

Literacy 

In literacy we are focussing on the author's purpose. The students have been identifying why author's have chosen to write and publish their work in a particular way. They have discovered that author's are usually trying to either persuade, inform or entertain their audience. 

Their challenge is to now select their own purpose for writing and produce a text that is creative and effective. We have been working together across the two classes to help the students generate their best ideas and engage in meaningful conversations about texts. 

Maths

We have been focussing on reading and interpreting graphs. The students have enjoyed working in groups and have been engaging in some great mathematical discussions. 

Prep Buddy Time 

The grade 6's loved catching up with their buddies after the break. We will be meeting fortnightly on a Tuesday with our buddies.
