From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land

and pay our respects to the Elders past and present and emerging,

for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

Dear Families

Tuesday November 1st Feast of All Saints.

Today's Saints are people who support, care, love, preach and live out the Word of God. We all have the power and the ability to do good for others and support others, in particular during this time that we have gone through.  By living our school values of respect, empathy , inclusion and excellence for those who are less fortunate than us, we too can emulate how the Saints based their lives through the Word of God and through their daily acts.

A Modern Day Saint.

It can take years and sometimes centuries for sainthood, but in recent years the process has become faster. Saint Bede, the theologian, died in 735 but had to wait 1,164 years before he was declared a saint. Mother Teresa has only had to wait 19. Pope John Paul II was canonized in 2014, some 9 years after his death.

Just like Saint John Paul II, Saint Teresa of Calcutta, and Saints Francisco and Jacinta, we too are called to live lives of holiness. Like Saint John Paul II, we can proclaim the Word of God to others. Like Saint Teresa of Calcutta, we can be of service to others, especially those who are hungry or sick. Francisco and Jacinta show us that children can become saints. Looking to modern and contemporary saints is a great way to begin the journey.

World Teachers' Day 28 October 2022.

Today, World Teachers' Day, is an opportunity for our school community to acknowledge the dedication and commitment our Teachers, Learning Support Officers and Administrative staff demonstrate in the work that they do.  Together we work to ensure that our students receive an excellent education and personal care in a friendly and nurturing environment.
