Australian Maths Competition 2022 Results 

 

On Friday the 5th of August, 15 students from Year 7 – Year 10 participated in the Australian Maths Competition. As the name suggests this competition is Australia-wide and aims to test students Mathematics and problem-solving abilities.  

The earlier problems in the competition use more familiar mathematics and were worth 3 points. The later problems are more difficult and were worth up to 10 points. These later problems are intended to challenge the student and require more sophisticated problem-solving skills.

 

All students who participated in the competition received a certificate which are great to put into resumés. 

 

Special mention goes to: Eden Beaumont (Year 8), Jordy Rasmussen (Year 9), Mitchell Skeers (Year 7), Tex Jones (Year 7) and Nissa Wakefield (Year 10) they were all awarded a Certificate of Credit.
