Prep-Yr 2 Touch Football Gala Day

On Friday 28th October we will be hosting a Touch Football Gala Day for our Prep, Yr 1 and Yr 2 students on the oval. Staff from the NRL League Stars team will be on the ground running the program and supplying a free sausage sizzle for each child after they have played their rotations. The children will also receive an ice block donated by McGrath’s Real Estate to celebrate the fun day!

Below outlines the program for the day, which parents are welcome to attend. There will also be a coffee van and some treats available from the tuckshop. Please make sure you have cash for the treats- everything will be under $3, the coffee van takes card or cash.

Program:

Prep:     9:00am -10:00am

Year 2: 10:00am -11:00am

Teacher v Yr 6 Students:  11:00am -11.30am

Year 1: 11.30-12.30pm

2023 Prep Enrolments

The 2023 Prep enrolment interviews are wrapping up. If you haven’t yet enrolled your child or attended a compulsory interview please do so in the next week. Currently we have over 100 students enrolled for the 2023 school year and will be looking at formulating classes, so it is vital students are enrolled and allocated a class. If you need to collect enrolment papers or attend an interview please call the office on 5520 5333 to organise.

Swimming Lessons and Swimming Carnival

Our annual swimming program is fast approaching with our Prep and Year 1 students participating in lessons during Week 7, with Yr. 2 and Yr. 3 the following week. In Week 9, our Yr. 4 – Yr. 6 students will have a 1.5-hour lesson that incorporates creek safety in our local waterway and stroke correction in the pool. 

This year’s swimming carnival will be held on Monday the 21st of November for those students who have nominated to attend and are in the 9-12-year age bracket. We are holding the carnival at the Tallebudgera Outdoor Education Centre pool and look forward to watching our students compete against one another for age champion and district selection for 2023. 

Athletics Carnival

We can finally announce that we will be holding an Athletics Carnival this year for both our Yr. 3 – 6 students and P – 2 students!!!! We will not have full access to our oval so some of the events may be modified to enable the carnival to occur. The dates for the two carnivals are below:

• Yr. 3 – Yr. 6 Carnival – Friday 11th of November – All Day Event
• Prep – Yr. 2 Carnival – Friday 18th of November – 9:00am – 12:30pm

We can’t wait to see all of our students out on the oval having fun and competing against one another!
