Last weekend Ash Stone and Olivia McKenzie were the only two students who stayed in to complete weekend stock.  An  awesome and reliable pair who worked well together.

On Friday night instead of going into town, the decision was made to stay at the College to have a quiet dinner and play a game of Around the World before watching TV and heading off to bed early.  Saturday morning Sparky took Ash and Olivia into Harvey to grab a coffee and make the most of the great weather.  It was then Brenton's turn to take Ash and Olivia into Bunbury to find some clothes in preparation for the Year 10 student dinner. Mr Adams needed some extra help on Farm on Sunday, so both students volunteered to go up to sheep. Overall it was a quiet weekend but quite an enjoyable one.

Monday

The basketball team arrived at dinner all ready to head in and play their game, only to discover they had a bye this week.

Jono Prosser (School Chaplain) came in to organise the Christmas Charity Boxes on Tuesday night.  Reid Becker, Abby Byrne, Sam Doherty, Millah Gray, Ava Hainsworth, Kandra Pense, Jade Reilly and Deegan Tilbrook all pitched in to put the boxes together.

These were then taken and distributed to several local schools by Jono, with the remainder being distributed next week. Thank you to Jono and Heidi  who co-ordinated the event and to those students who helped wrap the boxes.  A very big thank you to the staff, students and parents who generously donated to make this possible.

On Wednesday night Bill organised a boys basketball game in the gym after prep as an evening sport.  This attracted a large group of students, playing or watching.  Some other students opted to challenge each other in a quiet game of pool.

Last week most of the Year 11s finished for the year but we still had a few staying in to complete the Wool Handling Course and AusChem Course. I'm sure they have enjoyed these courses on offer, but are now excited to be packing up their rooms and starting their holiday today.

As there has been fewer numbers at the College, it has been enjoyable getting to spend time with the students in a quieter setting.  We have found students to be more social and positive this week.  Everyone has been using their prep time wisely by completing the last of their assignments  and packing for the end of the year.

Transition Students

We have been busy preparing to welcome 71 new Transition students this Sunday. These students will be spending two days looking around the College and as we introduce them to the routine.  Thankyou in advance to the students who have volunteered to show the Transition students to their rooms and helping them settle in on Sunday.
