2023 Pulse Perspectives Exhibition

We are delighted to share that Kirsten McCormick, Year 12, has had her artwork selected for display in the 2023 Pulse Perspectives Exhibition. WA's talented young artists are celebrated in this yearly showcase, gauging the pulse of young people who will influence, empower and shape the world we live in. The selected works provide a window into young people’s private, social and artistic concerns. It is an inspiring, rewarding and insightful look at the world through the minds of our most talented young artists.

Kirsten’s artwork, Safe, will be displayed in the Art Gallery of WA from 20 April – 20 August 2023.

Year 9 Media – Product Photography

Year 9 Media students had the opportunity this week to exhibit their photography skills to showcase some of the recent work done by their fellow Year 9 Food Technology peers. Watch this space going forward, as our students seek to showcase and promote the work of fellow students in a range of other classes, all the while building on their own Media production skills.

Sustainability activities

As part of their Micah Week activities, the Year 10s participated in sustainability activities. The students planted 70 bush tucker plants and other natives above the circular driveway at the front of the College. The students weeded around and applied wetting agent to the plants we had planted on the western bank of the College earlier this year. One of the groups also separated and repotted native seedlings that will be planted next year as part of our sustainability plan. Thanks to all the students and teacher helpers who were involved in a very successful morning.

Water Polo

Both Water Polo teams represented the College well throughout the day. The A Team came away with a 3-2 win in the grand final against CBC Fremantle, bringing homr the shield home! Year 12 Graduate Owen Lilleyman was integral in the set up and distribution of gameplays in the pool.

The B Team finished 4th overall, which was an amazing achievement given the amount of Year 7 students in the squad. Special mention to Cardy Douglas who was excellent as goalkeeper in many of the games.

Well done to both teams.
