From the Executive Director

Welcome to our first newsletter for 2023, which promises to be a busy year as agencies grapple with restraints on resources and yet increasing demands from FOI applicants and privacy complainants.

It has already been a busy start to the New Year for our firm so far with:

• 3 VCAT published decisions;
• several more proceedings withdrawn or otherwise concluded at VCAT in the FOI and privacy fields;
• 2 new Lawyers and an Administration Manager joining the FOI Solutions team
• Finalisation of our office refurbishment
• Our first FOI training sessions for the year commencing on 1 March 2023
• And I look forward to presenting a paper of FOI Updates at the Law Institute of Victoria Administrative Law Symposium on 6 March 2023,

all of which has occurred as we head towards FOI Solutions' 25th Anniversary on 1 July 2023!!

As one of only a handful of Victorian law firms with an Accredited Specialist in Administrative Law, we look forward to continuing to provide our services to our expanding base of government clients in 2023.

Most importantly, we wish all our clients a safe, healthy and not too stressful 2023.
