PBIS Report

NEW - Term 1 Week 2 PBIS Report

We would like to welcome everyone back to school for a fun and exciting 2023.

During Term 1, most students will be focusing on learning about the PBIS rules.  Students will continue to learn about what it means to be Responsible, Respectful, Resilient and Safe.

PBIS is an important part of  our school - It encourages students to behave in a positive way and also take responsibility for their actions. The PBIS program aims to give students the power to reflect on how they deal with situations allowing the school to support them through this journey.  Schools all over the world use the PBIS approach.

At St Mary’s, we have 4 school rules that we follow - These are to be Responsible……..Respectful……….Resilient………...and Safe

These 4 school rules help us to be the best we can be!!!

These are expectations of EVERYONE in our school, they have been part of our school culture for more than 7 years.  Everything that we do here at St Mary’s is linked to one or more of these expectations.

The teachers and adults in the school give students positive feedback when they are following these rules.  Teachers also use these four rules to remind students of when they need follow up or they are not being used.

To encourage positive behavior and to be the best we can be, we will continue our house team competition in 2023.  This celebrates the positive behaviours that students show using the 4 school rules.

We will announce the scores at next weeks assembly.

Our blitz for Week 2 will be Wearing the correct school uniform. students will watch a clip in thier classrooms about wearing the correct school uniform.

Enjoy your week and well done to all students who are following our school PBIS rules!!
