WELCOME TO 2023!

Welcome to another new, exciting year! 

I trust that everyone has had an enjoyable break over the summer holidays. 

There has been an incredible amount of building activity and refurbishment undertaken at the school over the holidays. The new Primary School building is now complete, and our Prep - Year 4 teachers have set up their classrooms in the new building. It looks amazing! 

We also have a new Kinder playground and an incredible amount of work has been undertaken over the holidays on the construction and landscaping of our new school oval. The oval will be completed by early March.

A giant shade sail structure is being installed over the Senior School multi-purpose courts and will be completed by the end of this term. 

Our new natural playground in the ‘Wildspace’ area of the primary playground will be completed by the beginning of Term Two. Finally, the old Junior School building is currently being completely refurbished for new primary classrooms to be available towards the end of the year. 

These projects are incredibly exciting for the school and will certainly transform our school grounds and facilities.

You may recall at Celebration Night in December, I launched the new vision statement for the school, which is:

Knowing Christ / Inspiring Learners / Transforming Lives

Everything that we do at BHCS needs to flow from this vision. 

What does the vision mean?

Knowing Christ

Students at BHCS will not only receive an excellent academic education, they enter an environment where the Lord Jesus is honoured and they have an opportunity to explore the Christian life. The spiritual development of the child is not left out. This is what really distinguishes us from a regular school. 

Inspiring Learners

We have a vision for high quality teaching to be happening in all of our classrooms, where students are inspired to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Transforming Lives

We have a vision for the influence of the school, the relationships we build with students, our educational programs etc to have an impact on our students and to transform their lives. Our desire is for this transformation to continue after school and into their lives. Our prayer is that BHCS  students will make a positive difference in the world, that what we are doing here will impact our students for years to come. 

I plan to be out and about in the school carpark before and after school most days, so please do not hesitate to say "hi".  I am looking forward to a fantastic 2023!
