Message from Leaving Staff
To the Good Shepherd community,
As I say farewell, it would be remiss of me not to also say a big thank you. I’ve been incredibly blessed by the staff, families and children in this place. I am truly grateful for the time I have spent here and for how much I have learned and grown alongside you.
As I watch students I have taught,graduate and move into a new chapter of their lives, I’m reminded that I am doing the same. Whilst there is sadness in leaving, there is great joy for what has been.
May you know the peace and love of Jesus this Christmas season,

Message from Matt Schmidt, former Board Chair
Just a brief note of thanks to the School community for the nice words and those who have said thankyou for my contribution to Good Shepherd. I joined the School Council when my first daughter started at Good Shepherd in 2012 and took the important role of Chair in 2015. Over those years, I can look back and give thanks for the wonderful blessings that God has given us. The School has grown so much since I graduated from primary school in 1988, and the growth has been significant since 2012!
To be able to work in close partnership with our dedicated Principal David Wilksch has been an absolute privilege, we are truly blessed to have David as our leader and to work closely with him has been fantastic. To the other School Leaders, thankyou for your work in driving and leading our vision and mission. A massive thanks to all of our wonderful and passionate educators, who day by day inspire our students.
To our support staff - thanks for your efforts ensuring a smoothly run school. To my fellow Board members over the years, thanks for your countless hours to ensure the strategic focus and growth of our School. I wish to acknowledge the volunteers who do so much to create community and value add to our School, thanks to those who help in the classroom, assist with excursions, work in the canteen, coach sport (my netball coaching days were fun), build community through events (how good were those Wine and Cheese nights, and Men & Minors camps )- these are the activities that create community and I encourage you to get involved. A collective thanks to you all to create such a dynamic learning environment.
Thanks to my amazing wife Peta and my daughters, who put up with my many hours assisting Good Shepherd. Importantly thanks to God who makes all things possible and guides our journey. And a final tip, get involved with the School and volunteer in some way. If you do, I know you will like I have, receive so much more back, than you put into our amazing school community.
