Cooking

Welcome back to the final term of our Cooking programme! For our first week back, Mrs O’Keefe showed students how to make Apple Turnovers and included three different shapes that could be made from the one recipe. As the photos below show, the Apple Turnovers looked delicious!

Science & Sustainability

We have started new topics for our Science and Sustainability subjects in Term 4. In Science, our focus will be on Fauna (Australian animals) in addition to investigating endangered and extinct animals. Last week, the students were offered the opportunity to create their own native Australian bird garden. In Sustainability, the new topic we will investigate is ‘Powering our World’. In our first week, the students engaged with Energy, and highlighted different sources of energy available to us.

Garden Harvest & Garden Maintenance

Our Garden program moved back outdoors to coincide with some of the lovely weather we have experienced. We hope your gardens, garden beds and paths look lovely after receiving help from our Flora and Fauna gurus! Students proudly shared photos of their fruit and vegie plants that they started growing last term from kitchen scraps. Some are flourishing but some plants have been eaten!
