Happy Reading

A huge number of books have been brought back or borrowed as students return to school. Many students have expressed their happiness to be sitting and reading surrounded by thousands of colourful and intriguing books. It is great to have them back.

 

Some new books:

“Drover” by Neridah McMullin Illustrated by Sarah Anthony

This beautifully illustrated book, based on fact, is about Edna Jessup, a woman who worked as a boss drover from the 1950s. This book is about a 6 month journey from Queensland to Western Australia in 1950 and teaches about the language and trials of the drovers.
