Welcome back to Term 4 of what has been a busy 2021, but has seen so many students achieve great things. Most of our Year 12's have left now and already hard at work cutting and bailing hay, getting ready for harvest, or completing CBH training which is fantastic news. If any Year 12 student is still looking for work for summer holidays or 2022, please get in touch. Our employment board down on Farm is full of opportunities.
Thursday 23rd September 2021, WACoA Cunderdin sent three strong and skilled Farm Skills Teams consisting of 18 students down to the Royal Show to compete in numerous tasks against other schools. The results were outstanding and the students had so much fun even though it was a 4.30am wakeup to get there on time!

2022 Weekend Duty Roster
It's that time of year when we need to be thinking about next year and ensuring we are working towards completing at least two weekend duty rosters during Year 11 and 12 which is the requirement for the core unit of competency AHCWRK204 - “Work Effectively in the Industry” (which is required to complete Certificate II in Agriculture). The 2021 roster for Term 4 has a couple of free spots but we are giving students an opportunity to fill the 2022 roster on weekends that will suit them. I understand that there are dates that students can't work on weekends due to commitments like sports, birthdays and other events so we encourage the students to get in now this term and select the dates they choose, or they will be placed into weekends.
Just a reminder that swapping weekend roster is strongly discouraged but in the event this situation arises students must give a valid reason, two weeks’ notice to Miss Corsini and find another student to replace them. Students have access to the roster through the Daily Notices, Farm Noticeboard, College Chatter and via email. Parents can also access this information in the fortnightly College Chatter.
We are looking forward to having the Year 11's down on Farm this term where they will get the opportunity to be rostered back onto enterprises and should now be asking to be assessed to finalise some competencies. Term 4 will go quickly so I recommend all the Year 11 students to take every opportunity they have on Farm to complete what is required of them - and of course have fun while doing it 🙂
