Message from the Principal
It feels great to be back to school face to face and as each day passes we are reminded of the energy which face to face interactions bring. This edition of the Brunswick Start highlights some of the great work students completed at what we are now pleased to say was towards the end of remote learning.
Examinations & HeadStart
We are already well into the end of term activities with Year 11 examinations almost complete and Year 12 Headstart about to begin, with Year 10 exams and Headstart about to follow.
We were delighted that the VCAA examinations were completed with minimal impact and in the last edition of the Brunswick Star we look forward to sharing a report on our Year 12 Graduation Night.
Grants
One of our parents, Tracey Talko has been instrumental in the school receiving some grants for provision of shade sails. I am pleased to announce that we have been successful with applications which will enable us to install more shade cloths in the school in addition to our large shade sail over the seated area near the bike shed. Many thanks to Tracey.
Our facilities team (Ray Stivala and Dave O’Callaghan) continue to work tirelessly on the school grounds and had the school looking magnificent when students and staff returned to face to face learning.
Vaccination Hubs
I also extend thanks and appreciation to the workers of Austin Health and CoHealth who set up the vaccination hubs for us, making it convenient for our students and local community to access the covid vaccination.
