Welcome back to school! We are so very glad to be back and 2022 is already starting to look more like a normal school year. Parents are back on site and student activities have resumed. We are excited about engaging as a school community once again and having some fun activities planned for 2022. A special welcome to our new Prep families. We met some of you at Tea and Tissues and hope to connect with more of you over the course of the year. Thank you to our volunteers who helped set up Tea and Tissues this year. We had one of the biggest turnouts we’ve ever seen.
Parent Association’s aim this year is to bring the community together once again after 2 years of disruptions. We are hoping to host more social activities for families along with student activities, such as the disco and water fun day. These events are not possible without the support of volunteers. To volunteer at school, you will need to complete the Classroom Helper training (please refer to the Compass newsfeed for more details), have a Working with Children Check, and be fully vaccinated. Volunteers are usually able to bring younger children along. If you have any questions about volunteering at a Parent Association event, please reach out to us via the Parent Association Facebook page.
Over the next 2 weeks we will be running 3 ice cream days. The scheduled days are the 16th, 23rd and 25th of Feb. Ice creams will be sold for $2 each. Sales will be from the kitchen during lunch time. We will be sharing further information over the coming days.
Parent Association Facebook Page - Thank you to all families who engage with us via the Parent Association Facebook group and the various year level Facebook pages. While we are happy to help and answer questions, please remember that all school related matters should be directed to the school or the relevant classroom teacher.
Friday the 18th of February is a Curriculum Day and the Parent Association have organised a Picnic in the Park. We will be meeting at Insect Playground (which is the one behind Springers Leisure Centre) at 11am. Please bring along your own picnic rug, lunch, and drinks. Siblings are welcome too. As there are surrounding ovals the kids can play on, please feel free to bring balls and other outdoor equipment. We look forward to seeing you there.
