Snowball activity

On our first day back in the classroom, we wanted to get to know a bit about each other. Students were required to write down 2 things about themselves that they wanted to share with their peers. Once they had done this, they scrunched it up and we participated in a safe snowball fight. Students then had to pick up a piece of paper and figure out whose piece of paper they had. This was a great way for all of the students to learn about each other !

Kindness

Our class motto is to ‘Throw kindness like confetti.’ 

Today the students wrote how they are going to show kindness in our classroom in 2022. 

We will add their thoughtful ‘kindness confetti’ to our display. 

Inquiry 

This term our inquiry topic is Innovation. We have begun our unit by immersing students in some STEM challenges, that involves them to use team work and questioning. 

Students were placed into groups and given a challenge card. They had to work together and decide which materials they wanted to use. Students reflected on their experience and brainstormed ideas of what worked well and even better if. This helped them to improve their work.
