Staff Versus Students Games

In recent years Year 12 have organised a number of events which are part of the Mater Dei tradition in celebration of their final weeks at the College. This term, the traditional Staff vs Students Games were just one of these events.  Students chose to compete against staff in three sports commencing with Netball, Volleyball and finally Dodgeball. Our commiserations to this year’s Year 12 cohort - MDCC Staff came away with a convincing win over each game and won the overall competition for 2018 … reclaiming the coveted trophy!

Games Night

On Monday evening, College Captains Bridgett and Jackson hosted a Games Night for their cohort in the College Hall. Groups dressed up according to their chosen themes and competed in rounds of Trivia and events which emphasised fun and teamwork. Special thanks to the staff who generously gave their time to support this night. Congratulations to our 2018 Captains for organising such a successful evening.

Breakfast

Thursday 27 September 2018 marked the final day of schooling for Year 12  at Mater Dei Catholic College. The morning began with a Year 12 Breakfast, held at the Pear Tree Cafe. Year 12 student Aaron Day led staff and students in prayer, and Gab Boland shared some words of thanks on behalf of the year group. Gab’s words were a great sentiment to the time and efforts of Mater Dei staff, acknowledging all who volunteered their time and expertise in support of Year 12 farewell events throughout the term.
