Wellbeing

Hello my name is Eloise and I am excited to be one of the four Wellbeing Leaders this year. I have twin brothers in Year eight this year and many wonderful pets including: four chickens, three Guinea Pigs, two dogs, one cat, one cockatiel and lots of fish which all have names! I think wellbeing is important because it's good to have a positive attitude and it’s also important to look forward to going to school each day.

I am looking forward to organising events

and activities with the Wellbeing Team (Emily, Rafael and Kai) that the whole school can enjoy and to make  school a happy place for everyone.

It’s time for SWELL 2022 on 22.2.22

On Tuesday 22nd February all the children from Foundation-Year 6 will be having a whole day of ‘SWELL’ activities. This will continue every Tuesday afternoon until the end of Term 1.

The focus for SWELL is Student Wellbeing. All the children will work in multi-age groups and have the chance to meet and learn with 9 different teachers. The Year 6 children will be paired with their Prep buddy.

Our Wellbeing leaders surveyed some of the classes to see what activities they would like to participate in this year and what they recall from previous years. Italian activities, Origami, Artwork, STEM-making chairs, team games and building with blocks were popular memories and choices.

What will SWELL 2022 look like, feel like & sound like?

Our Wellbeing Leaders, Emily & Eloise will report on this event in our next newsletter.

Passive Play has Commenced!

One of the activities being offered during lunchtime each Thursday is Passive Play. Last week the Foundation - Year 2 children were invited into the Community Centre to play, draw, build, play chess, fall over in Twister, chat with friends and play imaginative games. This event was very well attended providing many opportunities for social and fun times at school.

Thank you to the Wellbeing Leaders, Emily & Raf for supporting the set up and pack up of this event.
