Swimming Carnival 2022
Benedicta Champions Again!
Once again numbers were down from previous years due to COVID restrictions. However the enthusiasm and participation by those who attended was fantastic. The restrictions meant there were no fashions on the field parades or syncronised swimming, however, there were some excellent dressups on the night and plenty of fun to be had in the Division 2 (fun) races.
There were some very impressive swimmers lighting up the pool again this year with 14 records broken. In particular, Isaac Mooney, who broke a record in an amazing 6 races. In several races both the first and second place getters broke the previous record.
This year, the Year 12’s Water Polo, was a highlight of the carnival. In a hotly contested event Bennedicta won narrowly from Oodgeroo.
Well done to all our swimmers on your participation and efforts for the night. Thanks to Wagga Wagga Swim Club for their assistance and to all the staff and students for their work in ensuring a smooth running carnival.
