Building Futures Showcase – Thursday 19 May

The future education of our students is of utmost importance in the world of teaching and learning. It is challenging for young adults to envision what their future may look like and often, the young person is confused and uncertain as to what may come next.

Tomorrow night (Thursday 19 May), in the Nagle Centre, we will be holding our annual Building Futures Showcase which provides an opportunity for staff, parents/carers and students to come together to look at what possible pathways are available for our students.

This is a significant night for all students in Years 7 to 11 as they begin or continue their pathway to Year 12.

There is still time to RSVP. Click on this link to book online

I encourage all members of our community to come and explore the possibilities.

Year 3–12 Cross Country

Last Tuesday 10 May our students set off to Soldiers Memorial Oval, Queens Domain to compete in the St Mary’s College Cross Country.

It was pleasing to see the number of students that got into the House spirit and completed the event with great enthusiasm.

This event also acted as our preview for the upcoming Interschool Cross Country events which will take place in the coming weeks.

I would like to thank all staff and students involved in last week’s event and wish all those selected in the St Mary’s College team the very best.

Meet the Principal Tours

The next ‘Meet the Principal Tour’ will be held this Friday 20 May at 9.30am.

The session commences with a meeting and presentation by me, followed by a College tour led by student leaders, giving parent and carers the opportunity to speak to students and staff, and see what we do during a day at St Mary’s College.

Future tour dates are available on our website. Bookings are essential.

Please note the closing date for Year 7 enrolments for 2024 is Friday 9 September.

The Udder Way

With the Udder Way milk dispensing system now operating from Murphy's Café, parents and carers can now also purchase Ashgrove milk in glass bottles.

Milk is available in two sized bottles: 750ml and 2L, both priced at $1.50. Refills cost $1.50 for the 750ml and $4.00 for the 2L option. You are, of course, welcome to bring a bottle of your own.
