Parents and Friends and Fundraising News

Hello Kalinda community,

Do you have empty glass jars and plastic bottles ready to be tossed out?

Save them for us!

The school is having a Winter Solstice Lantern Festival this year on June 21.

In preparation for the event, the students will be making lanterns out of recycled materials in class.

We are needing the following recycled items to make the lanterns:

- plastic water or soft-drink bottles of any size (ideally 600ml or 1.25L)

- 1L and 2L plastic milk bottles

- wide glass jars from jam, honey, or vegemite (no peanut butter jars please).

All bottles and jars need to be washed with soapy water, for safe hygiene, before sending them to the school.

Thanks for your help,

Parents and Friends

Parent Helpers

At this stage,  according to DET Guidelines, volunteers that attend an education facility and that work in close proximity to children, students, or staff (including parent helpers) are required to be triple vaccinated.

Please see the school process below;

1/ Volunteers to sign in at the office at the beginning of their time at school.

2/ Show proof of their three vaccination doses when they come in (please ensure app is up to date beforehand)

3/ If they haven’t helped at the school yet this year, we will also need to see their Working With Children Check and get them to sign the child safety code of conduct. Please bring  WWCC every single time for Passtab log-in

4/ Sign out so we know you have left.
