Supplier and Guidelines
School uniforms are available for purchase through PSW Quality Apparel. Purchases can be made online (24 hours) at https://www.psw.com.au/schools/essendon-north-primary-school.html or in store at a PSW outlet.
For online purchases, delivery can be arranged free to school, or to an alternate address for a cost. Please note that we do not have a second-hand uniform shop at ENPS.
Essendon North Primary School's Student Dress Code may be viewed here.
All students are required to wear the correct school uniform:
During school hours (unless specified)
When engaged in school activities out of school hours or when representing the school
During sporting events, including interschool sport and representative teams
On school photo days
Whilst attending all excursions.
The uniform is compulsory.
The purpose of these guidelines is to:
Create a positive sense of belonging regardless of gender, cultural and socio-economic background;
Assist in group security and safety when on excursions and away from the school;
Encourage uniformity, pride and identification of students at sporting events (ie: sports uniform);
Represent the school in a positive image to the school population and wider community; and
Assist in bonding students and establish a strong school identity.
The following process is followed for students wearing incorrect uniform or inappropriate clothing:
Expectation that if students are out of uniform they will have a note from parents explaining the reason/s;
Classroom teacher will monitor uniform as a part of morning marking of the roll;
Students out of uniform, without parent consent, will receive a warning. On the third warning parents will be contacted. Opportunities for supporting students to wear appropriate and correct school uniform will be discussed;
If incorrect or out of uniform continues (without a note) after parents have been contacted, the student will have restricted play in the quadrangle for that day at recess and lunch.

In September 2024, we officially launched our ENPS House Team and PE uniform with a special assembly and Smoking Ceremony. We are so proud of our partnership with Narungga/Kaurna and Trawoolwaway artist, Daen Sansbury-Smith and through the support of PSW Uniform Group, that we have these amazing shirts to wear.
If you purchase these optional house team shirts, students may wear their house team shirts on the allocated Physical Education specialist day for their class, or on our house team event days (eg Athletics Carnival, Swimming Carnival, Cross Country, etc). Since these shirts are not mandatory, on PE specialist days students may wear normal uniform instead, and on house team event days, students may wear colours to match their house team, or school uniform.
Before you can buy one of these, you'll need to know which house your child is in. If your child has been allocated to a house already, you may be able to see this in our parent portal app called 'Compass'. Otherwise, please contact our wonderful office team on (03) 9379 3979 or essendon.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au, and we can let you know.
