SIMULATED UCAT DAY ONLINE WORKSHOP

Sunday 5 June | 10:00am - 5:30pm | Online

If you are in Years 10-12 (or older and considering sitting the UCAT in the future), then this program is for you. The Simulated UCAT Workshop program is ideal and often a necessary step towards effective and efficient preparation for the UCAT.

This event will be conducted by the National Institute of Education (NIE) in partnership with UCAT Preparation Australia and Medical Interviews and Career Advice Services (MICAS).

The workshop is primarily designed to cover fundamental techniques in navigating all five sections of the UCAT test and also for participants to gain a better understanding of their own level of preparedness. Over the course of the years, the program has evolved into more comprehensive and holistic exercise, which not only achieves its primary goal, but it is also exposing students to a wealth of knowledge about all other aspects of the journey into a medical degree.

INDIGENOUS AUSTRALIAN ENGINEERING SCHOOL

The Indigenous Australian Engineering School (IAES) is a week-long residential camp introducing students to engineering studies and careers. Students will do site visits, meet industry representatives, and participate in educational activities. The program is designed for Indigenous students in Years 9-12 with an interest in engineering, science, and mathematics.

IAES is free with all travel, meals and accommodation provided. It is an initiative of Engineering Aid Australia, and is hosted in Perth by Curtin’s Faculty of Engineering and Science. Students selected to attend the IAES will also qualify for an Engineering Aid Australia Continuing School scholarship to help with their education expenses in Years 10-12. Later, if they get a place at any university in Australia in an engineering or related degree, they will be eligible for an Engineering Aid Australia Tertiary Education scholarship.

Below is a great video and further information on IAES.
