Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church. St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parishes’ ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends of St Anthony's,

Wow, what a great term we've had. We have shared so many fantastic learning opportunities from swimming lessons, Family Week online, a stint of remote/flexible learning and then Three-Way Conversations online.  Our staff, little people and parents have shown us their adaptability, resilience and courage, and have continued to flourish throughout this term. I am so grateful to work with such a wonderful community.

It is with sadness that I inform you that Jane Viola's, a member of our Literacy Intervention Team, mother passed away. She has been on leave over the past few weeks to support and care for her mother and to spend time with her family. Please keep Jane and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mrs Gracie is taking extended Long Service Leave and will be spending the time travelling with her husband. We wish them both safe travels and hope she sends us some photos from her trip.

Next term will bring much joy and excitement.

Here are some experiences that we are looking forward to:

School Photos

Will be held on Friday July 16th. Students are to wear full sports uniform on this day. Please bring in photo money by Tuesday 13th July

Moana Production

This year due to Covid-19 and the chance of ongoing changes to restrictions, we have decided to turn our live show into a movie. Thursday 16th September at sunset, the evening previously booked for our performance, we will be holding Moonlight Cinema at St Anthony's at which we will have a red carpet premiere of our amazing Moana Movie. Please see our Performing Arts Update for some more details.

Year Five/Six Camp

We are very excited to have our Year Five/Six Camp Rumbug next term which will be held on August 9th to 11th. Students will have the opportunity to try many activities such as the flying fox, canoeing and much more.

I wish you all a safe and relaxing holiday break and I look forward to a terrific Term Three.
