The Tarkine is one of the last wild places on Earth that is still threatened. Funds raised from the exhibition will help secure protection for the Tarkine as a World Heritage listed National Park including its return to Aboriginal ownership.

Art club’s latest project is commissioned by the Maths department, and so follows principles from both art and maths. The main focus of the piece is the Fibonacci or golden spiral, a mathematical ratio that occurs in both the natural world and in art. Because of this, we have created a piece that is the golden spiral, but each section is a different element of the natural and mechanical world, such as flowers, cogs, nuts, bolts and shells. It will hopefully be completed early next year.
