This year 4 teams represented NHS at national level for the annual school’s cup tournament. This tournament is the largest in the southern hemisphere, holding 550 schools from around the country and New Zealand.
All players showed excellent commitment and dedication to their team, as well as lots of enthusiasm and passion for the sport! The NHS Volleyball Development program is proud to have had 4 teams compete at this 5 day tournament. They represented the school with great sportsmanship and respect for their teammates, referees and other players throughout the week.
RESULTS:
We had some excellent results including our first bronze medal at national level by the Year 7/8 team! The girls played exceptionally well, considering they only started playing as a team in Term 2. They were presented with their medals on the podium at MSAC during the medal ceremony.

Year 9s: These girls finished first in their pool early in the week and had a few tough matches later on, finishing 6th overall. The team showed lots of improvement over the year and they were always smiling and encouraging each other.

Year 10s: After winning the Gold medal at Vic School’s Cup earlier this year the girls went up a division and had lots of challenging matches. They finished 5th place which was a great achievement given the new division. Well to done these girls on competing at national and state level for the past 4 years!

Year 11s: During each match, the girls showed lots of enthusiasm and commitment on the court. They encouraged each other and stayed positive. It was great to see their improvement from the start of the year. They finished 7th place.
