The year 3/4 students would like to share a few highlights of our Kitchen Garden Program during Term 2.

Some of the edible plants and herbs the students have been planting and harvesting are:

Planting our broad beans
The students are also enjoying our annual broad bean planting activity. This involves all the students planting a broad bean seed, and recording it’s growth rate over a period of 5 months.
Eventually they will harvest them and create a beautiful spring menu celebrating the broad bean.

The students have been celebrating a very successful crop of sweet potatoes and the last of our late summer harvest of tomatoes with this recent menu.
Menu
- Sweet potato and pumpkin burgers
- Kale cabbage and carrot slaw
