SACRED HEART BOOK FAIR

BOOK FAIR EVENT from 17 - 26 May 2021

It's here, it’s up and running and we are having a great time.

I love watching the excitement on the children’s faces when they walk into the library and see all the beautiful books that have arrived for our book fair, and then the joy they get from choosing a book and knowing it is theirs to keep.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings a variety of books the children will want to read right into our schools. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.

Please be aware that Book Fair will run a little differently this year to previous years. We ask that parents only come to school if they feel they would like to view the books before they are purchased. Viewing time for parents will be after school from 3.15 to 4.00. Parents are asked to sign in at the Library entrance, with our QR code, and to sanitise before entry.

During each library lesson the children will get a chance to look through the book fair and choose their favourite books. Grade prep and grade one will be assisted by buddies in grade 5 and 6. After finding their favourites, the children fill out their wish list. This wish list will then go home so the children can talk with their parents about the books they may be able to purchase. Parents can then make payments on our Scholastic BOOK FAIR (not Book Club) online site from instructions on the back of the wish list or Fair invite brochure. You will need to insert your receipt number and the name of the books you have paid for and then return the slip to School, and the children will then collect their chosen books from the Fair. Children may also bring cash to school to pay for their books or eftpos is available at the front desk.
