Art News

Our students have spent the last two weeks of term exploring the works of famous Dutch artist Piet Mondrian; they have created artworks inspired by his iconic and simplistic style of black lines and primary colours.

Students have also been learning about the history of the ANZACs and creating symbolic artworks featuring poppies and sunrises. Students in Grades Prep, 1 & 2, have created collage poppies, which have been collated to create a collaborative display.

Our students in Grades 3, 4, 5 & 6 have been using watercolour paint to create blended sunrises, before adding black silhouettes of their choice to tell their own version of the ANZAC story.

As always, we continue to be incredibly proud of our students and the way they explore and express their creativity.

Enjoy the holidays everyone, we hope that it is a time of rest, relaxation and quality family time.
