House Cross Country
The Wedderburn College School Cross-Country event was run on Monday 10th May 2021. Extremely trying conditions saw rain and wind doing its best to spoil day. With the terrible weather, some would have been forgiven for lacking enthusiasm, however all competitors showed a genuine willingness to participate and do their very best. All runners represented not only themselves extremely well but their houses (Jacka and Ansett) and the college as a whole. Well done to all.

After a lot of banter between Jacka and Ansett leading up to the Cross Country event, the count of points saw Jacka take another victory to go with their swimming sport success. Finals scores Jacka – 1855 defeated Ansett – 1394.
NCD Cross Country
There were eighteen students represent Wedderburn College at the NCD Cross Country held in St Arnaud on Friday 14th May. All students ran extremely well and gave their best effort.
Five kilometres in 16 minutes and 58 seconds saw Isaac Holt claim 1st place in the Senior Boys. Olivia Lockhart was runner-up in the Senior Girls division and Ella Bailey finished in 3rd place for the intermediate girls.
There was also a significant amount of top 10 place getters. Considering some age groups saw upwards of fifty students competing, this was a great effort.
The most impressive aspect of the day was how well all students represented Wedderburn College with their effort, participation, behaviour and encouragement of their peers. Well done everyone.
