Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

A highlight of the last two weeks was the return of the school assembly.  Whilst we couldn't have our whole school together at the same time or have parents present, it was a great opportunity for our junior and senior students to join together and share a common experience.

We were also able to formally congratulate our School Captains and present them with their school badges.

A priority for this term has been to focus on supporting our students to be "Happy, Healthy and Active Kids."  The introduction of Respectful Relationships as our program for delivering the Personal and Social Capabilities curriculum is an integral component of addressing student wellbeing.  Respectful Relationship complements the conversations we have with our students regarding our school values.

Our school values are central to the operation of our school.  At our recent assembly, the focus was on our value, EMPATHY.  Students were asked to consider how their actions make other people feel and how they can make CHPS  a safer place through our actions.  I encourage you to continue this discussion over the school holidays with your children.

Next term the School Council will take the first step in understanding and strengthening community connections.  On Thursday 29th April, at 6:30pm, we invite you to the MPR to engage in discussions regarding community engagement.  We want CHPS families to be a part of making our school the best it can be.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, families must register for this event via https://www.trybooking.com/BQEOD

Enjoy the holidays and stay safe.

Regards

Megan
