Assembly

This week we were excited to utilise the fabulous new Junior School shade shelter for our weekly Assembly. The Year Five Berry students had their first foray into leadership through leading this week’s Assembly.  Over the course of Term One, all Year Fives will have the opportunity to lead an Assembly in preparation for leadership role applications in Term Two.  This week we looked at resilience, and a story was shared of author J.K Rowling and the battles she had to endure to have her ‘Harry Potter’ text published.  Resilience is the ability to cope with unexpected changes and challenges in your life.  It's not always possible to prevent stressful or adverse situations, but you can strengthen your capacity to deal with these challenges.

A reminder that Junior School Assemblies will be held each Wednesday at 2.30pm.  Family and friends are always welcome to join us.

PE Uniform

In line with changes implemented in 2016, Junior School students are permitted to wear their PE uniform to school on days that they have Physical Education or Blue Earth sessions.  At all times they are expected to wear the correct P.E uniform.  Coloured socks are not permitted.  Students must wear white socks with their runners.

Care Monkey

In the second half of last year, all College families were emailed details about Care Monkey.  This is an online program used to collect and maintain medical information, emergency contacts and permission forms.  It allows College staff in charge of groups of students leaving the school to access important contact and medical information on a mobile device, thus signalling the end of reams of medical forms. At this point in time, we have a small number of families who have yet to register with Care Monkey.  If you child does not have an active Care Monkey profile, we are not permitted to take them out of the school on excursions or cultural/sporting activities.  Reminder letters were sent home on Monday (February 6th).  Please contact the Junior School office if you require further assistance.
