CCP - Herbert Smith Freehills Mentor Program
The Herbert Smith Freehills Mentor Program is an exciting life skills program.
Just twenty (20) selected BSC Year 9 students are matched with 20 adult mentors from the international legal firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
The students and their mentors participate in 14 sessions, each with a theme, including Goal setting, Job interviews, Challenges at School, Respect, Healthy Living, Stereotypes, School Reports and Financial Literacy.
Students who wish to participate in the program must submit an application that includes a personal profile. In this profile, they include information about themselves, their interests as well as how they believe they might benefit from taking part in the program. Applications are then assessed by a team of BSC teachers for consideration against a range of relevant criteria, with particular attention to Work Practices.
As there are limited places available in the program, competition is tough! Well done to the 2017 BSF graduates of the HSF Mentor Program - we hope that this experience continues to impact on your education and inform your choices.

I have enjoyed being able to talk to an elder who gives me really good advice. I have also learned more things from them, things about life without my parents having to teach me.
