Associate Principal, Operations Report

Congratulations!

Recently, I noticed that the top ten players in each Division of the Basketball Association’s Summer Season, which concluded just before the end of last term, were published in The Spectator.  Well done to the following College staff members and students who were listed:

Mr Paul Churchill (then Director of Boarding, currently settling into life in Singapore); Sean Barnes (Year 12); Owen Li (Year 11); Sophie Delahoy (Year 12); Annabel Mould (Year 11); and Ariele Dickeson (Year 7).

Congratulations also to Jess Beattie, Rachael Whitehead and Chantal Butcher, parents, spouses and friends of the College, who play with College teams and were also amongst those recognised.

VCE Exams Navigator

All students who are enrolled in a Unit 34 VCE Sequence this year (ie, most Year 11 and all Year 12 students) should have received a copy of the Exam Navigator provided by the VCAA.  The booklet provides information about items permitted to be brought into the examination room for VCE exams rules which apply the timetable and processes to follow if arrival is after the exam has commenced or students are unwell.  There is also information about the Performance and Languages Oral Examinations, which are held throughout October, and about the result Service in December.

Whilst there should be nothing in the booklet which is different to advice provided prior to the GAT late last term, I encourage all students and their families to make themselves aware of the contents of this booklet.

Should any student have missed out on receiving a copy, they should see me (if they are in Year 11) or their Mentor (if they are in Year 12).

Photographs

I plan to remove the proof copies of Day and Boarding House photographs and the Year 12 “muck-up” photo taken last term next week.  Should any further families intend to order any of these photographs, the information sheets are found with the proofs at the Senior Campus reception desk.  They too will remain there until the middle of next week.

Orders are made directly to Arthur Reed.
