Red Hill Show – Photography
It is with great pleasure as Head of the Photography Department that I commend all the 117 student entries in this years Red Hill Show Photography Section. The students did themselves proud this year by entering work across all the sections on offer. I am always amazed at how creative students are with not only finding interesting subject matter but in the way that they consider the composition, camera angle and light direction. I would also like to let you know that darkroom techniques are still being used as two of our students received ribbons for their analogue kaleidoscope prints in the Abstract Section.
I would like to congratulate these students who received ribbons this year and I am looking forward to entering next year’s student work.

Rio 2016
This year the Art Department was involved in taking part in producing posters for the Australian Athletes Village in Rio 2016. Students had to design a poster that either promoted a particular sport or an Australian Olympian past or present and was to wish them good luck in their event or events. I would like to congratulate the students in Palina and Tadjeri 8 who were keen participants in this activity. There work has now been sent off and will be displayed in the Village for all the athletes to see.
