Year 10 Public Speaking Competition

On Friday the 12th of August, the Year 10 cohort celebrated their Public Speaking finalists in the Public Speaking Competition. 

The stimulus that the students were required to write a speech about was

‘My generation’s greatest opportunity is ..’. 

Students were judged on their evidence of research, structure and cohesion, relevance, depth of thought and length of their speech. 

Congratulations to all students who presented in the competition and to our top three entrants. 

The results were as follows: 

First place 

Piper C with the topic ‘My generation’s greatest opportunity is to ensure everyone has the same opportunities.’ 

Second place 

Olive M the topic ‘My generation’s greatest opportunity is positional power’. 

Third place 

Will S with the topic ‘My generation’s greatest opportunity is gummy bears’.
