Lunchtime Events and Activities

Lunchtime Events and Activities

We have been so fortunate to be able to provide our students with a variety of engaging and interest based Activities, Events and Clubs.

So far this the term we have been further exploring Student Voice and Agency by taking into action student suggestions on Clubs, Events and Activities.

We most recently have just launched our Karaoke Fun Fridays where we offer Karaoke sessions to students to take part and have fun over Friday breaks.

Students have absolutely loved this fun event and we will continue to offer this on demanding interest.

We have also seen a huge success in our whole school colouring in competitions where students can take part in a themed colouring comp and win a chance at winning a set of Hampers!

Over the rest of this term we will continue to foster Student Agency and Engagement and further plan and create opportunities for our amazing students in Term 4!

Some of this Term 3 clubs and activities include:

  • Bits & Bobs Club
  • STEAM Club
  • Music Club
  • Karaoke Fun
  • Foodie Fun Fridays
  • LGBTQIA+ Club
  • Book Trivia
  • Open Gym Class
  • Amigurumi Club (Japanese Crochet Club)
  • Rubix Cube Clube
  • Art Club
  • Star Paper Club

2022 Van Gogh Colouring Competition

We have recently just celebrated 2022 Van Gogh Appreciation Week and the Lunchtime Events & Activities team launched a Van Gogh Appreciation Week colouring competition to share awareness and appreciation for Van Gogh’s work.

Each student’s colouring sheet formed a mural with a recreation of one of his famous works ‘ Starry Night’.   It was great to see all of the students respond in a individual creative way to form the mural.

Congratulations to the students who were successful in winning!

We can’t wait to see everyone’s work for our latest comp ‘CAT' colouring.

Club spotlight of the week "Bits & Bobs Club"

Bits & Bobs Club is Viewbank College’s leading club with having over 75 members and having a dedicated teaching team of 8 with all areas of expertise that we focus on as a club.

Most recently Ms Buffey has introduced our students to star paper which students form and make little origami shaped stars in all different shapes and sizes.

The star paper creations have been a very popular choice of craft by students and Ms Buffey’s star paper teaching skills are phenomenal!
