Principal's Report

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

Last Friday staff spent the day with Maria Ford from Catholic Education Sandhurst. Throughout the day we had a range of experiences focusing on our roles as Catholic Leaders at St. Joseph’s. We also took the time to focus on three key questions, ‘What seeds are we growing?’, ‘ What seeds are yet to be sown?’ and ‘What result would we like to see in 10/20/50 years' time?’ It was a great opportunity to take the time to reflect and connect with each other.

Good luck to Cleaver who is representing Beechworth this Sunday at the Regional competition for Public Speaking!

School Photos

A reminder that these will take place this Monday. We ask that all students come in the correct school uniform, including black shoes (no runners).

No Sushi This Week

Apologies for the late notice, we had a phone call late last night.

Planned Power Outage

Ausnet has notified us of a planned power outage for next Tuesday 23rd August. As there is an improvement in the weather from our last power outage, the school will run as usual. We invite students to wear their warmest winter woollies- ugg boots, oodies, beanies etc.

Trivia Night- Reminder!

All parents are invited to our Trivia Night on Saturday 27th August. This will take place at Tanswell from 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start.

This is a great opportunity to reconnect with parents and staff, and perhaps meet some new parents in our community.

Please register tables of six by returning the note sent home last week to school by Wednesday 24th August.

Hand, Foot and Mouth

Please be aware that we have had a case of Hand, Foot and Mouth on site. If your child displays any symptoms they need to be kept at home until the sores clear up.

Book Fair

Thanks to all those who were able to support our recent Book Fair. We sold a total of $2035.30 worth of books. This gives us $407 which will go towards updating student readers.
