NETBALL

AUSTRALIAN NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Tuesday the 23rd of August, students from Year 7 to Year 11 attended the Australian Netball Championships in Traralgon. The inaugural Australian Netball Championships sees 10 teams battle it out for the title with our emerging national talent on display. This excursion was free to students and funded as part of the Positive Start Program.

The students received entry into a netball game between the West Coast Fever and the New South Wales Swifts. It was a thrilling game, with the final quarter neck and neck, however the Fever came out on top by 1 point. We were lucky to watch a live game with players of such talent. Look out for us on Kayo Sports.

The students then had the opportunity to participate in a netball clinic run by players and Netball Victoria staff, where all students showed what they were made of.

All students (and staff!) had a great day and we are thankful to the leadership team at school and the Positive Start Program for supporting such an opportunity for our students.
