Book Week   -  Writing/Drawing Competition

We had a wonderful selection of stories and drawings entered into the book week competition.  After reading all the stories with great interest, Mr Kellow (a published author) chose the winning story and the runners up.  Ms Burdett chose the winning drawing and the runner up in that category.

It was a great response to the competition and I would like to thank everyone who entered.  It was so interesting reading about students wildest daydreams at school.

WINNER - WRITING

Winner of the student writing competition is Flynn Polley (story attached below).

Winner in the staff section was Dr Walton-Jones (Pseudo name).

Runners up in the writing competition are -

Banjo Rumbold, Bailey Kloppenburg, Kael Minchin, Hannah Martin and Tyler Lovell

WINNER - DRAWING

Winner of the drawing competition is Abbey Nicholls (drawing attached below)

Runner up in the drawing competition is Addy Venton (drawing attached below)

Congratulations to all the winners and runners up and thank you to everyone who participated.  Thank you to Mr Kellow for being our competition judge and presenter and to  Ms Dauphin for presenting awards.

LIKE MINDS CLASS AUTHORS

On Monday 22nd,  Stella Whittle, Jayden Douglas and Noah Rodriquez from the Like Minds class talked to year 7s about the "Write a book in a day" project as part of the book week celebrations, .  It was a very interesting discussion with year 7 students asking questions about the process.
