Choomalaka Festival & Feast
Friday September 23, 5.30 pm - 8.00 pm
Great excitement and anticipation is building around our second Choomalaka Festival and Feast.
The Junior School classes have been busily preparing musical items for the Festival which is been held at the Austins Ferry Campus. We encourage you to come along and bring brothers, sisters, grandparents to celebrate the creative achievements of our students.
The Kinder students will be singing a song with rhythm sticks and our Preps have two funny songs with actions. Grade 3s will do some Te Rakau, which is a musical Māori stick game and our Grade 4s are singing a song in Japanese from the much loved movie 'My Neighbour Totoro' whilst playing drums. The Junior School choir have been practising three songs to perform and our Grade 5 and 6 Concert Bands will be performing a set each and we have heard that they all sound amazing!
