Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Book week 2022

Wow what a week! Firstly I’d like to thank the entire Sacred Heart community for jumping on the Book Week train! We have all had so much fun this week mixing in different class groupings, listening to Nadine Rabah and her life experiences; including writing her novel, sharing our favourite books with our buddies over a hot chocolate and finally dressing up today as our favourite character from a story.

Here are a couple of snap shots from the week…

Footy Day- Friday 2nd September

Next Friday 2nd September we will be having our annual Footy Day. The students are invited to come dressed in their favourite footy colours. If students do not follow AFL they are most welcome to come in colours that represent their favourite sport.

From 11:40- 1:40m the Yr 5/ 6’s will be organising footy activities for the whole school to participate in. There will be a special sausage roll and party pie lunch provided for all students, thanks to the Haley family. There will be no lunch orders on this day.

After lunch the Yr 4s 5s and 6s will be participating in a footy clinic with some players from the Northern Bullants.

Premiers reading challenge

Competition closes next Friday 2nd September. We already have 30% of our students complete the challenge! Collectively we have read 2277 books. Amazing effort Sacred Heart!

Enjoy your weekend
