The Season of Creation

The month of September through to the 4th of October, is especially known as the Season of Creation. A chance to celebrate all of God’s creation with awe and wonderment of the sheer beauty in our world. Pope Francis’ encyclical the Laudato Si’ on the care for our common home, inspired by Saint Francis of Assisi, calls us to renew our awareness & care for God’s creation, our common home that we share with all living creatures & future generations.

Prayer

God of all creation,

You show us beauty in all things,

The Earth is full of wonders,

That sing of your goodness,

Sun, moon, stars and sky,

Rain, snow, wind and water.

Animals, birds, trees and flowers,

Are all shaped by your loving hand,

Open in us, an attentiveness, that recognises all creation,

Form us to be people who delight in life as your gift,

Amen

Steps in Faith Program

‘Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit’

What a delightful celebration last weekend! 15 children excitedly celebrated their Confirmation and First Eucharist on Saturday night and another 3 children on Sunday morning. The children were reverent, respectful and were excited to celebrate their faith joyfully with our parish community.

On the 17th and 18th September, we look forward to sharing in the final step of the Sacramental journey with the second group of children.

God Bless.

Year Level Masses

The final mass for term 3 will be on Friday 9th September 12.30pm- with Year 4 leading. All welcome.

St Mary’s Parish Disco!

Parish Expo.

Wow! What an amazing evening, showcasing all that our parish community has to offer… and the talent on show from our children was inspiring. Thank you to all who came, mingled and jumped on teams to support our school and parish.

Coffee and chat is back!

Come and join other parents and carers in the Brigidine Centre every Monday 8.30-9.15. Great way to meet new people!

Altar Servers

Any children who have celebrated their Confirmation / First Eucharist in the last 3 years are invited to join our school and/or parish Altar Server roster. If your child would like to learn how to altar serve in our school and/or parish, please email Mrs Gould to express an interest. We will be running a training session at school and would love more children to join us.
